2020 and 2021 experienced increased activations for National Guard and Reserve families but did not necessarily provide them increased access to EFMP services. Brandie Berish shared her experiences supporting Guard and Reserve families as they attempt to navigate EFMP.
I really just wish Reserve and Guard families could participate in EFMP regardless of Title 10. I think if you were able to enroll your family and utilize the services prior and after Title 10 it would make life so much easier and be a true benefit to families and the service member.
It is a really hard situation for families. We are working with our leaders to discover how we can examine these policies to help families with less red tape.
