Sabrina, a proud spouse of a United States Guardian, has spent the past 12 years gaining deep insight into the unique needs of military families. She places great importance on fostering connections with both her local installation and the surrounding community, believing that collaboration and partnership drive meaningful outcomes.
In 2022, Sabrina and her family relocated across the country, where they experienced firsthand the challenges and limited support available to homeschooling military families. Determined to address this gap, Sabrina authored the Thrive Guide: Homeschool Edition in partnership with Five and Thrive and the DoD School Liaison team. This comprehensive, downloadable resource outlines the legal requirements for homeschooling in all U.S. states, territories, and OCONUS assignments and connects families to vital homeschooling resources in their communities. Her work on the guide inspired her to join the Partners in PROMISE Advocacy Team, amplifying the voices of homeschooling families often overlooked in educational discussions.
Sabrina currently serves as the Deputy Executive Director for Military Mentors, a nonprofit dedicated to equipping leaders with essential mentorship skills. She is also a Case Manager with Operation Child Care Project, supporting military families in accessing safe and affordable childcare. Sabrina’s dedication to the military community has earned her notable recognition, including being named the 2017 Global Strike Command Key Spouse of the Year and the 2024 AFI Los Angeles AFB Spouse of the Year.
