Meg Flanagan is an educational consultant with over 15 years of experience in the education field. Over the course of her career, she has served in many roles, including private homeschool instructor, specialized private tutor, general education teacher, inclusive classroom teacher, and special education advocate.
Meg earned a BS in Elementary Education and an M.Ed in Special Education from Bridgewater State University, with dual certification in both Virginia and Massachusetts. She has also completed additional education in the Science of Reading and in instruction for English Language Learners, as well as professional development in education policy, instructional best practices, and managing productive IEP meetings through VDOE and the IRIS Center. Meg is also a Master IEP CoachⓇ.
As an advocate, Meg has developed advanced knowledge of the challenges faced by military-connected children with disabilities in the US public school systems, including Department of Defense Education Action (DoDEA) schools. She has supported military-connected families across the US and around the world!
Throughout her career, Meg has become known for advancing equity in education and advocating for best practices in education using data. She enjoys reading and dissecting student data to develop targeted goals, accommodations, modifications, and service minutes.
When she isn’t championing equitable education, Meg enjoys running around the DC region, reading widely, and spending time with her family outside.
