Dr. Jeffrey Katz

Advisory Council Member

Dr. Katz’s practice includes the evaluation and treatment of children, adolescents and adults and their families with an emphasis on Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as well as other behavioral and learning issues.  Dr. Katz frequently attends school meetings, bringing his knowledge of ADHD, learning disabilities, and school-based interventions together with his knowledge of educational regulations under special education and Section 504 to ensure that students receive the support they need. With his practice located in Virginia Beach, VA, it is not surprising that most of Dr. Katz’s patients are military dependents and their families.

Dr. Katz is highly involved in the national AD/HD community.  He is a member of the Board of Directors of CHADD (Children and Adults with Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), he is co-chair of their Public Policy committee, and he is a member of the Professional Advisory Board.  Furthermore, Dr. Katz is a member of the American Professional Society of Attention and Related Disorders (APSARD) and he serves on the editorial advisory board of the Journal of Attention Disorders, a professional journal that disseminates scientific information about AD/HD.  In that capacity, he reviews research that has been submitted for publication. Dr. Katz was also asked to author the Journal’s first article in their column concerning state-of-the-art treatment by nationally recognized experts.
