Ashly Barta

A proud Air Force spouse and homeschooling mother of three, Ashly Barta has dedicated her career to supporting children and families through education, advocacy, and community leadership. With more than 20 years of experience in education, she has served as a teacher, preschool owner, homeschool mentor, educational consultant, and advocate, helping families navigate both traditional and nontraditional learning paths.
Ashly’s passion for advocacy grew through her own family’s journey. As the parent of a non-speaking son with complex support needs who uses AAC to communicate, she has firsthand experience navigating special education, disability services, and the unique challenges military families face when accessing educational supports across duty stations and state lines. These experiences fueled her commitment to empowering families with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to advocate for their children.

Ashly is passionate about building bridges between homeschooling, special education, and military life, believing that every child deserves an educational path that honors their unique strengths, needs, and potential.
