Advocate

Partners in PROMISE knows that advocacy comes in many forms. Sometimes it’s as simple as telling your own story. Sometimes it’s learning more about your own rights. And still sometimes it involves reaching out to leaders to share your experiences.

While connecting with your elected officials may seem intimidating, you can do it! Your voice is the key to affecting change within our Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) community.

1

Find your legislator.

Click here and plug in your address to find out who your legislators are.

2

Contact your legislator.

Send a message to your legislator. Tell them about your personal experiences with special education as a military family. They are there to represent you and your special education military family!

3

Never stop learning!

Education is key to making the most of your child’s special education rights. If you need help crafting your story contact Partners in PROMISE!

Not sure what to say? Share info from our page and invite others in our military community to support us on social media. We hear you and our voices are stronger together!
