The 2019 Congressional Military Family Caucus changed the way that Congress looked at special education students and the EFMP. It led to the foundation of Partners in PROMISE and encouraging legislation that has been proposed in the 2021 NDAA.
So this year, Michelle Norman, Executive Director of Partners in PROMISE, was asked to take the lead role in the formation of discussion panels. The focus of this year’s panels is on elevating the military spouse voice and their perspective on how COVID-19 affected military families’ readiness. The panels will discuss lessons learned and best practices gained through this year.
So we are thrilled to have been asked to take such an active part of the 2020 Congressional Military Family Caucus (MFC) Virtual Summit. This virtual event will allow families to connect with leaders in a way previous in person events have prevented.
